"So you like MCR ? Poser" by ~Batsxcore:iconBatsxcore:

I've seen, heard this so many times. On the internet but also in real life. I stopped counting how many times some messy kids made fun of me when I wore a MCR shirt or whatever from their store. I wonder, why is it so lame to support your favourite band and why is it so cool to make fun of people supporting their favourite band ? What's the fucking point ? Did anything like this ever happened to you ?

Three years ago, when the band wasn't mainstream you were considered as "cool" because you knew a band that no one knew and that was not on MTV for 2 hours a day. Now, you are considered as a poser, no matter since how long you've been listening to them. Some of my EX friends even stopped loving them because they are famous, and they obliged me to act like them if i wanted to stay their friend. I prefer having their albums as friends than little girls and their childish drama.

I personally think it is great that they got big, I mean, you can clearly read in their DVD : it was their dream. Of course there are some disadvantages, you can hardly ever meet them at shows, the pictures you take with them are not so "personnal" anymore, sometimes you have to wait 5 hours in the cold at a concert for being at the front, ect. I know what it is.

All I want to say is, NEVER stop loving them like the first day. Even if you may never meet them in person, even if you may never get a signed picture, even if there are thousands of other people loving them already, even if they may act different now, they're still our New Jersey Kids, and they need us every single day as much as we need them on the bad ones.

Nevermind if people make fun of you because you love MCR. Just tell them to carry on talking shit, because at the end of the day, My Chemical Romance has achieved more then they ever will, doing good music and saving lives all over the world. We listen to MCR and feel strong again. We listen to MCR because shit talkers CAN'T make us feel strong again, and we're proud of this. And if these idiots keep thinking we're just posers, remember that we're happy anyway and they're probably not for acting this way.

ahmen to that.

it doesn't matter if you're old skewl fan or a crazy fangirlish newb. love for music and a band is forever; and you shouldn't throw something like that away because of what everyone else thinks. <3

Be Yourself, Don't take anyone's shit and never let them take you alive- GERARD WAY-MCR

Fuck yeah, preach on, child! O: AH-MEN!

But seriously, yes, I'm tired of people who bash bands and think they're so cool. Yeah, like they're actually doing something. Whenever some ass makes fun of me, I like to cheer myself up by remembering that there'll always be more MCR lovers than MCR haters.

Amen... I've been into MCR since 2002 (aka before Gerard was "hawtttt" for the rest of civilization...) The good thing is it's good to know I was here before the explosion and I'll be around after the fall out. I still wear my old school Eyeball records shirts, I've got some crazy sweet pictures and memories of shows in small venues. it's good memories.

Hey, and even in their great rise to fame, the guys are not too cool to take pictures with my mom. No shit.

"Where's the danger in that, Cha-Cha? Where's the adventure?"

I very much agree with this sweety. Finally good to see more people thinking like I do about this whole thing.
